After you open the program for the first time and register, you’re given an incredibly simple screen with which to proceed. Add an expense, upload a copy of a receipt (allowing you to add the details later), or simply sign out.
Adding an expense brings you to the main input screen which allows you to fill fields for Amount, Date, Merchant, and Comment (notes, description). As you can see if you’d like to take a photo of the receipt, you can by simply clicking on the button which will launch your camera. Couldn’t be simpler.
Once complete, you hit upload and the program does the rest.
The magic happens on the back-end. Rather than try to explain what Expensify is all about, I’d suggest you head on over to their site. I happen to have their data connected to Outright accounting to tidy things up completely. Overall I love it!
